The i2i Summer Library Series at the John Jermain Library in Sag Harbor felt like a neighborhood open house of creativity.
The series ran for 3 consecutive weeks. Participants ranged in age from 8-17 years old with a mix between local residents and summer visitors.
Each series has it’s own personality and the Sag Harbor experience was all about diversity. The group had backgrounds in vocal performance, interest in musical instruments and there were people with no music background who were curious about technology. We explored common ground, learned about writing techniques and put it all together as we made a simple beat using human percussion (featured in the series description video below).
Carrie Ann Salvi of the Sag Harbor Express attended the series and wrote about her observations here…
Inda conducted a series of i2i™ Songwriting Workshops at libraries in Suffolk County, NY based on the core concepts from Ideas to Inspire™ creativity and songwriting program.
Participants explore songwriting, live music performance and learn about basic audio recording. Workshop activities include a writing group, recording session and a live music performance. The result is a simple audio recording.
